The GE eBike EL Tilt-Table Bicycle Ergometer provides a stress-testing mechanism for patients with limited mobility or who have trouble walking. The system tests the exertion level of certain muscles and the amount of exercise done. This machine is useful in testing the progress and efficacy of rehabilitation and training exercises. It can be used in conjunction with a number of testing systems and equipment for deeper analysis of the patient’s condition. The eBike tilt-table ergometer is designed to be comfortable for patients and suitable for healthcare providers.
Comfort and Utility: The GE ergometer is designed to be highly comfortable for the patient. It consists of a soft cushioned seat and a cushioned back and headrest. The seat’s height can be adjusted by a smooth no-graduated electrical system. A couple of adjustable padded side supports and the headrest provide a safe and secure positioning of the patient. The distance and positioning of the foot pedals are perfect for cycling exercise. A side drop-out piece provides unencumbered access to the imaging region of interest. The ergonomics of the tilt-table enable ultrasound image acquisition without moving the patient from exercise platform. Due to the unique design of the tilt-table ergometer, the patient can directly transition into recovery phase on the exercise platform.
Control Panel: The Tilt-Table Ergometer has a control panel above the drive unit. There is an LED RPM display on the patient’s side so they can maintain the required RPM easily. A 3”x1” LCD and a touch-panel keyboard are present on the other side of the control panel for the caregiver to adjust the settings and see the key values. The system is fully programmable and up to 10 user-programmable protocols can be set. A set of 5 standard programs is also included for quick and easy patient evaluation.
High-Quality Drive Unit: The drive unit is of very high quality and can withstand extended and repeated use. A load of 6-999 watts, independent of the speed, can be adjusted. The bicycle’s speed can go from 30rpm to 130rpm. The eBike can bear a patient load of up to 352lbs so it can easily work with heavier patients.
Interfaces: The eBike ergometer can be connected and interfaced with a number of other devices for extended functionalities. It has a digital RS-232, USB and remote start interfaces. The connection between GE Healthcare stress-testing systems and eBike allows for easy control of the entire examination.
