The HemoCue WBC System gives the unique benefit of determining accurate white blood cell count at the point of care. Tests are done in the HemoCue WBC Microcuvette, where red blood cells are hemolyzed and white blood cells are color-stained.
The HemoCue WBC System only needs 10 uL of venous or capillary blood for a sample. After red blood cells are lysed and white blood cells are stained, white blood cells are counted by image analysis carried out by the WBC Analyzer itself. All of this is done in about 3 minutes.
Quality Control: The HemoCue WBC Analyzer has an internal electronic self-test which automatically verifies the performance of the optronic unit of the analyzer every time the analyzer is turned on.
Clinical Usefulness: The HemoCue WBC is all about the in vitro diagnostic analyzis of white blood cell count. Knowing the number of white blood cells is useful for the diagnosis of diseases and conditions such as leukemia, allergic reactions, and viral, bacterial and parasitic infections.
Ease of Use: The low learning curve and minimal need for maintenance makes the HemoCue WBC System very easy to use. The analyzer can be stored in temperaures ranging from 0°C - 50°C < 90% non-condensing humidity, and can be operated at temperatures of 15°C - 35°C < 90% non-condensing humidity.
