Edan M3B Vital Signs Capnograph Patient Monitor is suitable for adult, pediatric and neaonatal patients. The standard configuration comprises a color TFT display with 5.7” resolution and a user-friendly interface. The monitor is tailored for continuous tracking of SpO2 and either sidestream or mainstream CO2 measurement. It provides simultaneous numeric and waveform vital signs information. In addition to a powerful data storage capacity that allows both trend table and trend graph review and record, the M3B Vital Signs Capnograph Monitor is assembled with a USB port, which extends data record and review capabilities. This Edan Vital Signs Monitor supports wired LAN and WiFi connectivity, Bi-directional communication with central monitoring system and a barcode scanner. As a power saving solution this monitor features a backlight control function and standby mode. The built-in lithium-ion battery grants 8 hours of continious work.
Standard Features
Available Options
- Respironics LoFloTM EtCO2 (Sidestream)
- Respironics CAPNOSTAT 5 EtCO2 (Mainstream)
SpO2
Edan SpO2 module can monitor Arterial Oxygen Saturation (SpO2) by means of oximetry, measure Pulse Rate (PR) and SpO2 PLETH (Plethysmogram) to determine the oxygen saturation of hemoglobin in the arterial blood.
Optional Sidestrem or Mainstream CO2
Edan M3B Vital Signs Capnograph Patient Monitor is assembled with a CO2 module that supports optional LoFlo CO2 module for sidestream measuring method of CO2 and Capnostat 5 CO2 module for mainstream method. The Edan CO2 build-in module can measure the CO2 partial pressure or concentration of patient Air Way, obtain End tidal CO2 (EtCO2), Fraction of inspired CO2 (FiCO2), Air Way Respiration Rate (AwRR), and display CO2 concentration waveforms.
Sidestream method is most often used on non-intubated patients with the help of Nasal or Nasal/Oral cannula. However, it can also be applied to intubated patients for the short-term monitoring, usually no longer than 3 days. In this case an airway adapter should be applied.
Mainstream method can be applied to intubated patients on ventilator care only. Capnostat 5 CO2 module is designed to provide a long-term ventilator care, from 3 to 30 days and longer.
