A thermometer is a device intended to measure temperature. There are many types and many uses for thermometers for home and professional use in patients of all ages. The thermometer uses infrared technology and a unique Peak Select system to acquire and analyze up to an astounding 100 separate measurements in that short time, then selects the most accurate and displays it on the integrated programmable LCD screen. It features four temperature modes for the most comfortable and accurate readings. In ear mode, it displays absolute temperature without adjustment; in oral, rectal, and core modes, it automatically adjusts the reading to display the corresponding temperature equivalent. The device also includes a sixty-second pulse timer to make it a well-rounded diagnostic tool.
The Genius™ 2 features a tapered tip for ultimate patient comfort, innovative no-touch probe cover application and ejection to reduce cross-contamination, and a push button to switch effortlessly between Celsius and Fahrenheit readings. After 30-40 idle seconds, the unit goes into sleep mode to conserve battery, allowing it to take 15,000 readings on a single set of 3 AAA batteries.
The thermometer includes a docking base, compatible with wall and mobile mounts (sold separately), for device protection. The base features integrated probe cover storage and provides a perfect fit for the Genius™ 2.
