The Covidien Kendall Surgipro™ II - Surgipro™ Monofilament Polypropylene Sutures are non-absorbable, sterile sutures indicated for use in general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including use in cardiovascular, ophthalmic and neurological surgery.
SURGIPRO™ sutures (clear or pigmented) are inert and are made of polyethylene and an isotactic, crystalline stereoisomer of polypropylene. These materials make the sutures more uniform in diameter, more flexible, and more secure with minimal memory. Each suture exhibits consistent knotting strength with snug and flattened knots. "Pig-tailing" is also reduced.
These sutures feature Premium Reverse Cutting needles, made with Surgalloy™ for added strength. NuCoat™ coating further enhances needle sharpness for consistent and smooth penetration. Optivis™ surfaced darkened needles also give maximum visibility without affecting needle performance. Ideal for Cardiovascular Vascular Procedures such as CABG and cannulation, and Peripheral Vascular Procedures such as Carotid Endarterectomy, Femoropopliteal Bypass, or A/V Fistula or A/V Graft, among others. Sutures are in size 5-0 with 18" thread length, Needle P-13, 3/8 Circle, in color Blue.
