It is made with a front panel that enables hassle-free and fast insertion of ribbon cartridges and print media. The printer has a front LCD display that allows users to conveniently operate settings and adjust colors. This display shows error messages and print media type, making it easy for medical personnel to browse and confirm this information. For added convenience, the printer is equipped with an automatic feed roller cleaning function that lessens the need for periodical manual cleaning. It is cleaned for a few seconds every after the last sheet of paper in the paper tray is printed out.

Incorporating dye sublimation printing technology, the Sony Analog Color Video Printer provides photorealistic quality prints with a high resolution of 423 dpi image reproduction.
