Oil Emulsion impregnated dressings are a non-adherent dressing used for packing wounds. The oil emulsion creates a moist environment for healthy wound healing. The non-adherent feature makes removal less painful for the patient and causes fewer traumas to the wound bed.

The dressing is made from a knitted cellulose acetate fabric coated with a formulated petrolatum emulsion. Wound fluid can easily move through the knitted fabric into a secondary absorbent dressing. Oil Emulsion impregnated dressings can be used or the management of surgical sites, lacerations, abrasions, cosmetic surgery sites and skin grafts.
