The dual lumen tube design ensures high efficiency of the device. While one tube is intended for suction drainage, the other one serves for venting. To ensure a good throughput of the tube, it features a large lumen design allowing for effective and easy suction of gastric contents, decompression, irrigation and medication delivery. Venting tube features a smaller lumen that intakes the atmospheric air equalizing the vacuum pressure in the stomach. The implemented technology allows to facilitate the suction procedure safely with no damage to the stomach lining.
Excellent Features
The device includes a gastric reflux prevention valve and quality X-ray radiopaque Sentinel Line™ with Sentinel Eye™ tubing that promote unit effectiveness. In Addition, Salem Sump™ Tubes are made of silicone that allows for a prolonged dwell time of up to 30 days. Importantly, during the whole dwell period the tube remains flexible ensuring optimal patient comfort during nasogastric tube use and removal. For maximized use convenience the Tube comes in a kit with capping system that includes sump vent lumen cap, suction lumen adapter and suction lumen adapter cap. The removable 5-in-1 connector promotes versatility for Tube application that can also be used for irrigation.
