Sharpoint™ PLUS Polypropylene Double Armed Side Cutting Lancet Sutures, 1/2 Circle, are synthetic, inert, monofilament sutures used in ophthalmic surgery.
Sharpoint™ Polypropylene Sutures consistently meet the demands of surgery professionals worldwide. Packaged in dry or in wetting solution, these sutures easily pass through tissue and are easy to handle. Polypropylene Sutures are equivalent to Ethicon Prolene™ and Syneture Surgipro™/ Surgipro™ II. It is the most versatile of all monofilament sutures, and is characterized by superior smoothness, better knot security and a unique extruding technique, which ensures a uniform, round cross section.
Polypropylene Sutures are available as dyed (blue) or undyed, in various sizes. Size 10 is used in Ophthalmic surgery, repair of small, damaged nerves and other delicate surgeries. Side cutting lancet is a spatula needle with the cutting edge on the inner or outer curvature. Available in 12 per box.
