Sharpoint™ Polypropylene Sutures consistently meet the demands of surgery professionals worldwide. Packaged in dry or in wetting solution, these sutures easily pass through tissue and are easy to handle. Polypropylene Sutures are equivalent to Ethicon Prolene™ and Syneture Surgipro™/ Surgipro™ II. It is the most versatile of all monofilament sutures, and is characterized by superior smoothness, better knot security and a unique extruding technique, which ensures a uniform, round cross section.
Polypropylene Sutures are available as dyed (blue) or undyed, in various sizes. Sizes 3-0 and 4-0 are used for closure of muscle layers or bowel repair. Sizes 4-0 and 5-0 are for larger vessel repair. Sizes 6-0 and 7-0 are used in vascular graft sewing. These sutures feature Precision Reverse Cutting needles, which feature a triangular point with cutting edge on the outer curvature, honed with precision for an extra sharp tip. Preferred for use in plastic surgery and other delicate procedures for a good cosmetic result. Available in 12 per box.
