LOOK™ PolySyn™ Absorbable Single Armed Sutures with Precision Reverse Cutting Needles, 3/8 Circle, are high quality, smooth synthetic sutures used in skin closure, OB/Gyn, urology, and gastrointestinal procedures.
LOOK™ PolySyn™ Sutures consistently meet the demands of surgery professionals worldwide. Packaged in dry or in wetting solution, these sutures are characterized by superior sharpness, penetration, and strength. PolySyn™ Sutures are equivalent to Ethicon VICRYL™ and Polysorb™/ Dexon™.
Made from glycolic acid, these sutures have a proprietary coating, which ensures superior smoothness and low friction for less tissue drag. Excellent for closure of wounds during the critical wound healing period. Mass absorption is essentially complete between 50 and 90 days.
PolySyn™ Sutures are available as undyed or violet-dyed. Size 3-0 is for closure of muscle layers or bowel repair, while 4-0 and 5-0 are great for larger vessel repair. Size 6-0 is used in vascular graft sewing.
These sutures feature Precision Reverse Cutting needles, which feature a triangular point with cutting edge on the outer curvature. Needles are precision-honed for extra sharpness. Excellent for skin closure, ligamentous or fibrous tissues. Available in 12 per box. All sutures are packaged in a sterile, double pouch for sterile transfer.
