The Ethicon Perma-Hand™ Silk Micropoint Reverse Cutting Sutures, 3/8 Circle is a non-absorbable, sterile surgical suture made to hold body tissues and/or wounds together after surgery or an injury.

Impressive Construction. With a silk composition (anorganic protein), the Ethicon Perma-Hand™ Silk Sutures have a special wax mixture with a dyed black braided color. It is double-armed (has a needle at each end), promotes the healing of wounds over time and can remove natural waxes & gums. It requires a G-6 Needle with an 8mm length, a curvature fraction of 3/8 circle and a Prime Reverse Cutting Point Type.

Great Choice. These Sutures are non-absorbable but will slowly weaken because of the proteinaceous silk fiber in the user's tissues. Because of this, it may result in a gradual loss in tensile strength over time. The medical professional can choose either a size 6-0 or 7-0 which are optimal choices for general soft tissue approximation, small vessel repair or grafting and fine suturing on the hand/nailbed & face. It is also used in cardiovascular, ophthalmic, and neurological procedures.
