The Ethicon Perma-Hand™ Silk Micropoint Reverse Cutting Sutures, 1/2 Circle is a sterile and non-absorbable surgical suture designed to hold body tissues together after an injury or surgery.

Awesome Design. Composed of anorganic protein, the Ethicon Perma-Hand™ Silk Sutures are braided with a dyed black color, have a special wax mixture and is double-armed (has a needle at each end). It promotes the healing of wounds over time and can remove natural waxes and gums. These Sutures are non-absorbable but will progressively degrade because of the proteinaceous silk fiber in vivo (In the Living Organism). Because of this, it may result in a gradual loss in tensile strength over time. The user can choose either a size 6-0 or 7-0 which are optimal choices for general soft tissue approximation, small vessel repair or grafting and fine suturing on the hand/nailbed and face. It requires a G-7 Needle with an 8mm Length, a Curvature Fraction of 1/2C and a Prime Reverse Cutting Point Type.
