These sutures are made from monofilament nylon, which pass easily through tissue for reduced trauma and prevention of tissue ingrowth. Sharpoint™ Nylon Sutures are equivalent to Ethicon® Ethilon and Covidien® Monosof™.
These Nylon Sutures are dyed in black, in various sizes and suture lengths. Sizes 4-0 is used for larger vessel repair. Size 6-0 is used in vascular graft sewing. These sutures feature Precision Conventional Cutting Needles, which feature a triangular point with cutting edge on the inner curvature and precision-honed for added sharpness. Good for general skin closure, subcutaneous tissue, sometimes for ophthalmic surgery, plastic or reconstructive surgery. Available in 12 per box.
