The Smiths Medical Jelco Needle-Pro Edge Safety Needle (1000/case) is a hypodermic needle that greatly helps healthcare professionals to safely inject liquid medication to a patient or draw specimen from them. Each needle comes with a safety device that protects the clinician from needlestick injury after injection. This is compatible with any luer lock or luer slip syringe.
The safety guard device has a sleek, low-profile design which does not obstruct the view of the needle during injection. It also ensures that the needle is locked inside and remains protective through disposal, that will greatly help in the safety of the clinician and the patient. The safety needle is sharp, and enables a comfortable injection for the patient.
A single-handed technique can be done for the injection of the medication and activation of the safety device after injection, that reduces the accidental exposure of the clinician to any contaminations. The Edge Safety Needle has a "true needle length", which eliminates the extra dead space between the needle and the syringe where it is attached, avoiding wasting liquid medication during injection.
