An easy-to-afford, easy-to-use ear irrigation system to remove cerumen without the mess.
Ear washing is one of the most commonly performed procedures in the primary care office. The Welch Allyn Ear Wash System provides a safe and effective way to remove cerumen from patients of all ages.
This method of irrigation is much cleaner and safer than other irrigation methods currently on the market. Since it is easy to use with built-in safety and simplicity, it can be used by any health-care worker within your facility.
Multi-functional disposable tip provides a seal at the ear canal. It has an outflow channel to direct water back to the drain, and a filter in the tip collects the cerumen allowing the practitioner to see when the cleaning is complete. The tips can be used on children and adults.
Designed with safety in mind, the Welch Allyn Ear Wash System includes several built-in features that reduce side effects associated with other irrigation devices — including vertigo, nausea, deeper cerumen impaction, perforated ear drums, and other tympanic membrane damage.
Hydrovac Action signals a new era in irrigation
What makes the Welch Allyn Ear Wash System truly revolutionary is its built-in Hydrovac Action. This proprietary technology features simultaneous irrigation and suction capabilities, which means all discharge is directed away from you and the patient. And since you can easily control and monitor suction, water temperature, and pressure levels, the Ear Wash System is ideal for patients.
Reimbursement
Depending on the circumstances, procedures for removing cerumen using the Ear Wash System may qualify you for third-party reimbursement (CPT Code 69210 removal of impacted cerumen on one or both ears USA only).
Disposable Eartip
The system's bio-compatible, latex-free eartip provides a tight seal at the patient’s ear canal, and features an outflow channel that directs water back to the sink drain instead of onto you or the patient. A cerumen-trapping screen inside the transparent eartip enables you and your patient to visualize any dislodged cerumen and discard after use.
Ear tips are bio-compatible, latex-free, insert type; one size fits patients from pediatric to adult; single-use only; fits most round ear canals.
Handle
The handle contains built-in features such as the water flow actuator and temperature sensor, which help reduce messy outflow as well as the incidence of patient dizziness and vertigo.
Pressure Chamber
The Ear Wash System’s pressure chamber — which easily connects to any faucet — regulates output pressure to prevent damage to the patient’s tympanic membrane.
Durable Transparent Tubing
Over ten feet of clear, heavy-duty plastic tubing lets you position the patient almost anywhere in the room as well as visualize the process.
System includes Pressure Chamber, Water Flow Actuator, 10 feet of tubing, Box of 25 disposable eartips, Portable storage tray and a 1-year warranty.
