The Riester E-scope® Otoscope and Ophthalmoscope Pocket Set, Xenon Illumination offers superior illumination and environment-friendly energy source for more efficient diagnosis. The Otoscope is used to examine the external auditory canal and the eardrum, while the Ophthalmoscope is used to extensively check the fundus and screen for eye diseases and conditions of the retina, optic nerve, and blood vessels.
The E-scope® Pocket Set, Xenon Illumination comes with the E-scope® Direct Illumination 2.5V Xenon Otoscope (item #s 2110 and 2111) and the E-scope® 2.5V Xenon Illumination Ophthalmoscope (item #s 2122 and 2123). It has a "AA" battery handle and comes in a soft case with 10 black reusable ear specula; five 2.5 mm and five 4 mm. The instruments are made in Germany, and come with a 2 year warranty.
E-scope® Direct Illumination Xenon Otoscope
The E-scope® Direct Illumination Otoscope uses 2.5V Xenon Direct Illumination (3200 K) and has a "AA" battery handle. This otscope has sealing precision optics that pivot on both sides, and triple magnification. It can be used for pneumatic testing (does not come with connector and insufflator). The receptacle for the ear speculum is made of strong and sturdy metal. It can be used with specula from other manufacturers.
E-scope® 2.5V Xenon Ophthalmoscope
The E-scope® Ophthalmoscope has a Diopter disc with 18 corrective lenses; +/- 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 15, and 20 diopters. It has an easy to use aperture wheel with six different apertures; fixation star, large circle, small circle, red free filter, blue filter, and semi circle. The E-scope® Ophthalmoscope has optics that offer high performace, with an aspherical condenser lens. It has spectacle protection and a parallel optical path.
