The Ophthalmoscope has 18 unique aperture and filter combinations that can be used in various examinations. This device has a sealed design that keeps dust out which ensures correct findings during medical exams and an Anti-Theft Locking Feature that locks the head from removal by unauthorized personnel.

The quick mode has a less than 4-second Oral response time, a Standard Mode with less than 10 seconds on Oral and less than 14 seconds on Axillary Response time, a Direct Mode with a 1-2 minute Oral and Axillary response time and a Cold Mode with less than 15 seconds Oral and less than 20 seconds Axillary response time. It has an accuracy of ±0.3 °C (±0.6 °F) for Quick Mode, ±0.1 °C (±0.2 °F) for Standard Mode and ±0.1 °C (±0.2 °F) for Direct Mode.
