The GE Corometrics 172 External Fetal Monitor noninvasively tracks a baby’s heart rate for non-stress tests to deliver accurate information. The monitor has a comprehensive set of features that make detecting accurate heart rate and distinguishing important events easy for the health care providers. This machine’s design makes it suitable for antepartum fetal monitoring in the hospital as well as in an office setting.
Reliable and accurate: The Corometrics 172 maternal monitor noninvasively tracks a baby’s heart rate for non-stress tests to deliver accurate information. Compact, lightweight, and designed for antepartum applications, it helps create a better birthing experience for mother and baby.
The included Nautilus Watertight Toco Transducer permits quick external acquisition of uterine activity with a flat-surface design that won’t leave a mark on the patient. The telemetry interface even works perfectly during hydrotherapy.
Features: The Corometrics 172 has a bunch of very useful features that facilitate easy and reliable monitoring of fetal health. Its fetal heart rate alarm system provides audible and visual alerts if the heart rate is outside of the user-defined high/low range.
Heartbeat coincidence recognition feature indicates you may be monitoring a duplicate signal (such as a synchronous fetal or maternal heart-rate signal) through visual and audible detection cues. The offset mode makes it easier to visually distinguish between the heart rates of twins by allowing you to offset the secondary FHR by +20BPM. An optional fetal movement detection algorithm automatically senses gross fetal movement and annotates its occurrence on the strip chart.
Multiple Outputs: This fetal monitor has three separate output sources that provide a clear measure of the fetus’ condition. The monitor includes a dual-channel audio output for audio signaling for the two transducer channels. The volume for both of them can be controlled, independent of each other. A printer is also integrated with the monitor to give a real-time graphical representation of the heart rate and any fetal events that might occur. A digital display at the top gives a clear visual of the important values.
The monitor can also be seamlessly connected to a Clinical Information System or some other external monitors for additional dimensionality of the tests and condition monitoring.
