Overview for OraSure 1001-0599 COVID-19 Visual Reference Panel Kit for Inteliswab Covid-19 Swab Test Kit Pro

The Orasure COVID-19 Visual Reference Panel Kit is an additional accessory for the Inteliswab Covid-19 Swab Test Kit Pro (Point of Care), that is used to ensure that the healthcare professional can accurately read and interpret the results on the swab test device. This kit comes with 3 test sticks with different results, to let the professional get an idea of the actual possible outcome that may show in the test stick, may it be strong or weak positive, or negative results. This visual reference panel must be done by a new operator before administering the test to a patient.

On the devices, sample results are shown: a solo reddish-purple horizontal mark on the “C” (control) area depicts a negative result. A positive result shows either a solo red horizontal mark on the “T” (test) area, or two red marks for the “C” and “T” zones. Invalid results show no lines on the stick, incomplete lines, or a reddish purple background that makes it impossible to read the result. This Visual Reference Kit is stored at 15-30 C (59-86 F), and once opened and exposed, it should be discarded after 15 days. Each device has been manufactured at a predetermined reactivity to produce a limit of detection result, positive, and negative results.
