BD 446250 Affirm VPIII Microbial Identification Test Kit

The BD Affirm VPIII Microbial Identification Test Kit is a direct specimen DNA probe test that identifies Candida species, Gardnerella vaginalis, and Trichomonas vaginalis using a single swab. Using the principles of nucleic acid hybridization, this DNA probe test provides results in under 1 hour. Samples are processed using the BD MicroProbe Processor, with positive results indicated by a blue dot on the target organism bead. This test eliminates the subjectivity inherent in direct microscopic observation methods, allowing for faster and more accurate detection of vaginitis. 

Easy and efficient: Designed to boost efficiency in the laboratory, the BD Affirm VPIII Test can be easily performed without any advanced training. Plus, it delivers accurate results even from “difficult” specimens, mixed infections, or hard-to-diagnose patients. Hands-on time is less than 5 minutes.
